Ione Skatepark

"Creature-Mike" and I headed to Ione for an early morning session. Good weather, not windy like everywhere else in the valley. Ione Skatepark used to be the hot spot in the North until Granite Skatepark (in Sacramento)opened. I forgot how much FUN this place really is. ~sc.

Rock and roll in the Amoeba bowl thing.

Shallow end with stairs.

Hot tub.

Deep end.

Trying to learn to tail tap on my Holt Model.

Friday morning session.

Ripon Skatepark
On occasion, the planets align and the stage is set for an epic "Old Dude" session. Up and early Friday morning gets you no bikes, no scooters, no kids, and an empty skatepark. What more can you ask for? Enjoy these pics from 04/18/08 while I figure this blog thang out.

"Sid" whipping around his 44 inch Super Pig.

"Longboard" Rick testing out the Holt Model Plank by Bulldog Skates.

"Gromcrusher" James learning new lines.

"New Guy" Nick learned to tail drop last week. He's been trying his new trick everywhere.
Like the promise of golf's hole in one or bowling's next strike, stoke sessions like these keep us coming back for more! ~sc
