Lathrop Skatepark is a clean (as skateparks go) quiet litle place. Located across the street from the railroad tracks and police station, it's frequented by BMXer's, street/tech skaters, kids who don't skate and think it's jungle gym, and the like. Everyone seems to get along and reasonably respect the right of way. I have never seen anyone show up for the skatelite trannys, but doesn't mean they don't come. Solo morning sessions are just that... solo. Lucky if 4 cars drive by in two hours. With so many gnarly skateparks nearby, Lathrop does not top many lists. But if you imagine it's your own private skatepark (which basically it is most of the time) then it's not so bad a place. Travelers: Head two blocks East and you'll run into the Lathrop Community Center. Excellent place to bbq, relax, use the restrooms, and recover. Enjoy!
