Stockton Skatepark

Don't laugh. If it were a ditch then it would be the best ditch ever! But since it is a skatepark and it lacks the refinements and flow that are common in today's skatepark designs, then... lets say it is NOT a destination. To it's credit, Stockton's skatepark was one of the first to be built after the rise and fall of the large skateparks of the 70's. For awhile, it was the only park for miles in any direction. Given some time you can squeeze out a flow line or two. Skilled Thrashers have and will continue to enjoy the unintentional difficulty. I have to say it's made me a more appreciative, daring, and less-lazy skater. All my life I have been fiercely proud of my hometown Stockton, I guess it's time to have a little pride for it's skatepark. Oh yeah, bring a helmet. Stockton PD will ticket you if given the chance. Longboard Rick's fine was over 100 bones!
